Move Out Instructions & Procedures
1. _____ Give 30 days notice before moving out.
2. _____ All floors swept and washed.
3. _____ All walls and ceilings dusted down. All dirt, smudges and grease washed off.
4. _____ Wash down all baseboards, woodwork, and window sills.
5. _____ Clean and wash all light fixtures.
6. _____ Thoroughly clean all bathroom fixtures - toilets, bathtubs, showers, sinks and cabinets.
7. _____ Clean and wash kitchen, removing all dirt and grease including kitchen cabinets (inside and outside),
sink and fixtures.
8. _____ Clean all appliances inside and outside, including refrigerator coils and vents.
9. _____ Clean behind and between stove and refrigerator area.
10._____ Clean storage area.
11._____ Vacuum and clean carpets.
12._____ Clean closets, shelves and rods.
13._____ Clean all windows, storm windows and doors.
14._____ Remove all items from attic, crawlspace, basement, yard, shed, etc.
15._____ Lawn trimmed and cut properly, including removal of leaves.
16._____ All trash and garbage to be removed from property.
17._____ Do not remove phone jacks, picture hooks, or curtain rods or brackets.
18._____ ALL light fixtures are to have working light bulbs in ALL bulb sockets.
19._____ ALL smoke alarms to be in working order with lithium batteries if not hard wired. If hard wired, regular 9
volt batteries are acceptable.
20._____ Notify the property manager immediately when all possessions have been removed from the unit.
21._____ Keep all utilities on until the day after you have removed ALL possessions from the unit.
22._____ All keys returned to the property manager
23._____ Pay all final utility bills for this unit and provide receipts to OWI
Any repainting, repairs, cleaning, trash removal and any other expenses associated with returning the condition of
your home to your move-in condition will be deducted from your deposit. Your security deposit, less deductions, will
be mailed to the forwarding address you provide in 30 days after your move-out inspection has been completed if
you have met all conditions of your lease.
We only expect you to return your home in the same condition as when you moved in.
